Ashfall Wardens
★★★★★ 4.7
Ashfall Wardens is the RPG I've sunk the most time into this season. You build a party of four, each with a small deck of skills, and combat plays out on a lane-based grid where positioning matters as much as damage. Pulling your healer back a lane before the enemy charges can save a whole fight.
The story is told through short, well-written vignettes between battles, and there's enough character banter to make you care about who you bench. Gear tweaks your decks rather than just bumping numbers, so experimenting actually changes how you play.
It respects your time. Battles are quick, you can auto-resolve the easy ones, and there's no energy wall forcing you to stop. For a mobile RPG that's rare and welcome.
What we liked
- Deck-building meets party tactics
- Lane positioning that genuinely matters
- No energy system to slow you down
