Mobile games, reviewed by people who finish them

We dig into puzzles, RPGs, strategy and arcade titles across phones and tablets, and tell you how they really feel after more than five minutes. No hype, just the stuff we noticed while playing. Legends of Slots — A relaxed tap-and-match arcade with spinning reels of mythic symbols and a surprisingly gentle sense of progression.

Why us

We finish the games

Reviews come after hours of real play, not a quick skim of the first level. If a game falls apart in the late game, you'll read about it here.

No paid placements

Studios don't pay us to be nice. Our ratings are ours, and they stay that way.

Readers shape the list

A lot of what we cover comes from suggestions in our inbox. If you found something good, it probably ends up on the site.

Ashfall Wardens

★★★★★ 4.7

Ashfall Wardens is the RPG I've sunk the most time into this season. You build a party of four, each with a small deck of skills, and combat plays out on a lane-based grid where positioning matters as much as damage. Pulling your healer back a lane before the enemy charges can save a whole fight.

  • Deck-building meets party tactics
  • Lane positioning that genuinely matters
  • No energy system to slow you down

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

Mostly curiosity and reader suggestions. One of us picks a title, plays it properly, and if it holds up for a few hours we write about it. Popularity isn't a requirement; being interesting is.

Do studios pay you for reviews?

No. We don't take money to publish a review or to influence a rating. If that ever changed, we'd say so loudly at the top of the page.

Can I suggest a game you should cover?

Please do. Email us the name and a line about why you like it, and it goes into our list. A lot of what ends up on the site started as a reader tip, including the casual arcade game Legends of Slots that we recently spent a week with.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run simple, non-intrusive ads to cover hosting, but they never affect what we write or how we rate a game. Editorial and advertising stay completely separate.
